But do you know how many days most submarines around the world can stay underwater? Today we will tell you about it.

Submarine

Submarines are a major weapon of any country’s navy, through which the navy has the power to kill enemies under the sea. Let us tell you that all the submarines present in the world have their own different specialties. Similarly, some submarines can stay in water for 72 hours, some submarines can stay in water for several days and some are so advanced that they can stay in water for unlimited time.

Specialty of India’s INS Arighat

Let us tell you that INS Arighat has been built at Visakhapatnam Shipbuilding Center under the Advanced Technology Vehicle Project. INS Arighat can run on the surface of water at a speed of 12-15 knots i.e. 22 to 28 kilometers per hour. This submarine weighs 6 thousand tons, not only this, INS Arighat is capable of launching missile attacks underwater and is equipped with sonar communication system, sea-based missiles and anti-radiation protection system. Its length is 111.6 meters, width 11 meters and height 9.5 meters. While ordinary submarines can stay underwater only for a few hours, this submarine can stay underwater for months.

The most powerful submarine in the world

Let us tell you that Russia has upgraded the nuclear attack submarine from the Soviet era and has made it the world’s most dangerous submarine. This is a nuclear cruise missile submarine. It is 508.9 feet long. Its beam is 59.9 feet high. It can stay underwater for 120 days. Its speed on the surface is 28 km per hour and at depth it is 59 km per hour. It can go up to a maximum depth of 600 meters i.e. 19568 feet.

America’s Ohio class is the world’s second most powerful nuclear submarine. Intercontinental ballistic missiles have been installed in them. They are extremely dangerous. Their length is 560 feet and beam is 42 feet. Their speed on the surface is 22 km/hr, while at depth they move at a speed of 46 km/hr. If the food supply is not interrupted, then they can stay underwater for an unlimited time. They can go up to a maximum depth of 800 feet. 15 officers and 140 sailors can stay inside it.
